Information on 2012 Juniors

We have great expectations for our Junior Division this year, with enrollment already exceeding last year’s total at this time.  Our Juniors teams have won our District 6 Championship and represented at the State Tournamnent the last two years (finishing 7th in 2010, and 3rd last year).

Last year we introduced a new format which replaced traditional try-outs.  All enrolled Juniors participated in a HDLL Jrs baseball camp over three weeks, beginning early March.  HDLL Juniors coaches rotated instruction during that period, and were able to become familiar with the players.  We then held the player draft, scheduled for March 22 this year.  This alternate to try-outs was very successful as the players were more comfortable and able to integrate more easily with other players.  Currently we are planning on repeating this successful approach.  Check back onto this site late February for more information.

Games for the Juniors Division usually start week after Spring Break.

Games for Seniors typically start last week of April.

Games for Big Leagues start typically second week in May.
