All games scheduled for Wednesday, April 11, are cancelled due to poor field conditions.

Quilts are $60 dollars each with $10 of each sale donated back to HDLL.

No need to pay today, pay when your quilt is delivered. Approximate time from order to delivery is 2 weeks.

Opening Ceremonies are Saturday, March 17th. Team photos will happen rain or shine, but if the weather is bad be prepared for a delay or cancellation of the rest of the events.

Here are some of the activities:

Team Photos: These are scheduled throughout the morning and early afternoon, so check with your coach or team “Mom” for your team’s allotted photo time or check the Team Photo Schedule on the HDLL site. You will want your player in full uniform. Your team “Mom” should also have given you an order form for photos.

Gear Exchange: This year we will have a table set up from 9 am to 12 pm where you can drop off old gear and pick up any used gear you’d like to have. Bring any baseball-related gear and clothing, including gloves, helmets, pants, shirts, practice gear, cleats, and bats. Please clean the gear prior to dropping it off. Any gear that is not re-claimed by others will be stored by the league and offered to parents the following season.

HDLL Swag, Smart Card and Auction Tickets: Also from 9 am to 12 pm we will have a table where you will be able to buy HDLL merchandise as well as turn in money for Smart Cards and Auction Tickets.

Opening Ceremonies: This is the main event. It starts at 12:30 pm on the Big Field. All teams will gather around their coaches about Noon, then line up on the fields for announcements, acknowledgements, the singing of the Star Spangled Banner, and the “first pitch” of the season. It usually lasts 30-45 minutes.

Games: Games will be held throughout opening day this year, so check the schedules and check with your coach for your team’s exact times. You can also check the schedules below if you have not received one.

Snacks: The snack bar will be open and we have a few new items at the snack bar this year, including breakfast items, so be sure to check it out. Between photos, games, and opening ceremonies it can be a long day.

There will be a final in-person registration session for TBall only this Saturday, March 3, from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. at the Clubhouse at the HDLL fields. This would be a great time to invite a friend of your T-ball player to join the league.

Also on Saturday HDLL veteran umpire Lou Kardonsky (who also happens to be a grandpa to a TBaller) will be hosting a final TBall skills/training clinic from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. This also is in the clubhouse at the HDLL fields.

Bring sneakers and a mitt if you have one. And just to let you know—if the sun is shining Lou will want to play outside, so bring a sweatshirt. If you have not been, there is a theme that’s guaranteed to get your player excited about the coming year.
