Field Maintenance and Early Season Game Schedules Posted

Field Maintenance

Field maintenance schedules for the the pre-season and for the regular season have been posted on the Field Maintenance Schedule Page. Be sure to check them for times when your team is scheduled to show up at the fields. These are mandatory.

Game Schedules

Also, season schedules for Pac 7, Pac 8, and American League, and National League have been updated up to Spring Break. Once the complexities of inter-league play with our friends at the neighboring Little Leagues have been ironed out, we’ll update the calendars with the remaining schedules. Juniors Practices and Tryouts

This weekend marks the launch of our joint Juniors practices. On Saturday, Feb 23rd, we will have all registered Juniors players whose name begin with A through L meet at HDLL Batting Cages for 1-1/2 hr workout beginning at 2 pm. Players with last names M through Z will workout at 3:30 pm to 5. Wear tennis shoes, warm clothing and bring your own water.

Beginning the next weekend, field practice may be added in front or behind your cage time weather-permitting. See the coaches at the cages for more information. These practices will be held for the next three weeks only, so don’t miss any. And I’m sure the coaches would love to have some assistance in the cages from parents…

These workouts are mandatory as the managers and coaches will assess players for the draft. There will be no individual try-outs. Teams will be selected on Thursday, March 14th and players will be invited to Opening Day Ceremonies in uniform.

T-Ball Clinics Now Scheduled – These Are a Blast

Hi T-ball families,

On Saturday, Feb 16th at 10am in the indoor batting cages we will be hosting a “training clinic” for T-ball players—whether they are coming back for the second year or playing for the first time. Please come and join us!

The clinic will be hosted by Lou Kardonsky, who is one of our esteemed umpires and a long time member of the HDLL family. He will provide baseball basics (fun games) to help prepare your child for the upcoming season. It is guaranteed to be entertaining, so please come out and participate! Bring a mitt if you have one. And be warned that if it’s a sunny day, Lou may try to bring the kids outside, so bring a sweatshirt or jacket.

Additional clinics will be held on Saturday, Feb 23rd and March 2nd at 10am. If you have any questions, just let me know.

If your little player isn’t registered for TBall yet, there’s still time to register.
